She is obsessed with Venice and Paris.  And two of her favorite photographs ever are, Il Bacio, Venezia and Robert Doisneau’s, Kiss by the Hotel de Ville.

Whoa…now that is some inspiration!!

After partnering up and selecting wardrobe, hair and makeup with cutie-patootie, LRT – we headed out and hit the streets of Uptown Charlotte.  By golly – the love was flowing!  The Zeiss was dreamy.  And the stars were aligning.  It was a fantastically fun morning together.

“Happy Valentine’s Day…Eve!”

It isn’t very often that I have time to read a book, clean a closet or for that matter do a craft project with my twinks.  But this Valentine’s Day I was bound and determined to make time, despite my crazy current schedule.  Oh…and that our craft time didn’t revolve around candy or gum!

Saturday morning we got an early start.  First up – a 9:30am birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  Yup!  9:30AM!  When we got the invite I was certainly questioning, “Did Tristan’s mom mean, 4:30pm?”  But nope, the hubby confirmed the early party and off we went.  And I have to say…it was actually quite great because we still had our entire day AND what kid doesn’t want Pizza for breakfast!?!  Not only that…it was packed with six other parties happening at the very same time.  Craziness.

Okay…back to the point…

After the party we headed straight to Dollar Tree.  18 (kids) x 2 (twinks) = 36 (“be mine” treats).  Good designing and assembling times ahead.

So my mother-in-law and I dove into the project once home while the twinks ran amuck.  My thought process was, we’ll do the quick stuff on the computer then let the twinks help cut, glue, stick, etc.

Not so much.  They taped (maybe) four cards each and were done.  However, they did proceed to go through two rolls of double stick tape making ‘tape bridges’ all over the house.  They adored that part.

And so that left us starting and finishing this project.  No complaints though…it felt good to use that glue gun!

While I have heard every last one of these words, at the end of the day this content still does not really phase me.  I guess it is because I myself want to “look skinny on camera, be properly lit, get my images back quick, be reassured that I am in the hands of a professional…and on top of all else…be educated”.  And I want the same for my clients.

I recently met with a new accountant (while pulling my hair out…arg…taxes!) and found myself utterly in love with the fact that he was thoroughly explaining and educating me on a variety of items.  It was a simple (and complimentary) initial consultation that turned into 1.5 hours of his time.  He understood his business, his industry and was the consummate professional.  I left wanting to hire him on the spot (and would have if I had had all of my ducks in a row to get an accurate breakdown of services).  Nonetheless, after being on the other side of the professional, I left feeling confident that each and every one of my clients get the exact same treatment when they walk through our studio doors.  They are welcomed, educated and enlightened!

So…now that I have just had a brain dump…onto this hilarious clip.  I will say, I feel insanely blessed to have only had a couple of “I-know-everything-about-everything” type of clients in the last ten years of business.  Pretty good stats I think!
