Greetings to all!! Welcome to the brand new KVP Blog (previous blog).
Whew…it’s been some time. I have spent the last couple of months re-prioritizing my life after realizing that my family was suffering in my absence. I often found myself saying, “Kristin, you can return this one last email, blog a quick session before heading home, throw together a few weddings for a publication, head out to this oh so important networking event…la de da de da…” It’s funny how quickly things can spin out of control as a business owner (well, I guess I should say businesses), but the important thing is realizing when its happening and grabbing a hold of it before there’s no turning back.
SO…I’m refreshed and have things in order! First and foremost, I’m a God-fearing woman. I’m a wife, I’m a mother…and then I’m a PHOTOGRAPHER! I also have a WONDERFUL new assistant with me in the studio, Liz Shea. She is an amazing photographer, super-star editor and wonderful addition to KVP. To be quite honest, she is the mastermind behind the new blog (I’m not quite sure what I would have done without her these last couple of months). Stay tuned to our upcoming post dedicated especially to her! Love you, Lizzy!
And as a photographer we have some wonderful people and pictures to introduce you to! Here we go…
Bloggers meet Grace + Sean.

I was introduced to this beautiful couple through Tiffany at Weddings and the City (a FAB planning company in Charlotte). Lucky for me, we clicked immediately and was thrilled to have them sign the contract on the spot. That is always SO FUN!
We originally tried to work it out to shoot their eSession in Hollywood, but with Sean’s basketball season fast approaching we weren’t able to work out the schedules. DARN! Maybe we’ll head out to Cali. to shoot her bridals. What better place to get imagery to display at their Hollywood-Glam styled reception taking place at the Ritz-Carlton next August (the 14th as a matter of fact…MY BIRTHDAY!). So how do we get a little LA in their shots? How about Mez!! Steve came in and worked his lighting magic and Kymm Mclean with Who’s the Fairest ROCKED us some makeup and hair.
Good luck Grace + Sean out in Sacremento. We miss you both, and are rootin’ for a great season!! Go Kings! haha…like I know basketball!

Cutie-patootie, Sean singing Celine Dion to Grace in between takes.

A new project for us is incorporating a few words from our clients at the end of their blog. Thanks, Grace + Sean – we love you!
“We first discovered KVP when flipping through Carolina bride issues, and we loved her work as soon as we saw it. Our wedding planner, Tiffany, then followed up with her in setting up an official meeting. Shooting with Kristin and Steve was a stress-free and fun filled experience. Everything with Kristin just came naturally. She not only guided us, but listened to our ideas and incorporated them as much as possible using her expertise to pull them off. It was so much fun and the end product turned out AMAZING! We love KVP and Weddings and the City!”
