Where do I even begin?

Last night we – alongside many of Charlotte’s greatest wedding professionals, and Anna Schmid (VP of Special Events and Weddings  for The Atlantis Resort and One & Only Ocean Club) – celebrated the launch of Weddings and the City’s Original Look Books.

One word.  Speechless.

Honestly.

I don’t know how to articulate my gratitude – as the words simply do not exist.

First, I have to start by giving thanks to God.  In the greatest and most sorrowful times in my life, He is and will be a constant First in my life and the lives of my children.  Without Him – I would have and be nothing.  And boy…was He was he ever present last night!  So present that the winner of the 3 night stay at The Cove Atlantis was won by Amy Potvin (mother of little Elle Potvin who lost her courageous battle to cancer 20 months ago…YESTERDAY!).  There was  definitely ugly crying going on in the house!

Next (why can’t I stop crying…ARG!)…my team (Tiffany, Lindsey and Lauren).  They carry me.  We are each others greatest support and cheerleader.  We strive to give 1000 percent to our clients and passion – 1000 percent of the time.  For last night’s soiree, they were instrumental and hands on in transforming our space to that of the Organic Romance Look Book – and pulled it off deliciously.  They collected custom pieces from around Charlotte, had Cacique Weddings ship over original items from our shoot, teamed up with the most fantastic local professionals (who graciously and without question stepped up to the plate to help) and put countless hours into ensuring perfection.  I could not be more proud of my little bears.  My smile is stretching to the moon right now!

Steve – my wingman and mentor.  Ten years.  And you haven’t left me.   You’ve put up with all of my stories and cry fests – in the good times and bad.  Your loyalty and friendship means more to me than you’ll ever know.  I am better because of you.  You push me.  You critique me.  You encourage greatness.  I am thankful for you – more than words will ever be able to describe.  Thank you for firing off our action shots last night!  And Myriam – my business consultant.  Oh how I admire and respect you.  You have a remarkable gift to share with so many.  You help it “make sense” when it doesn’t.  Your ability to juggle multiple business as a mother of two and balance it all is beautiful.  Thank you for coming and being very much an essential part of this project.  You have me for life!

The Atlantis Resort, One & Only Ocean Club, Kerzner International and LDPR…thank you.  Your loyalty and dedication to this project and our company is paramount.  From where we started one year ago to now, it has been an unbelievable journey.  We are beyond ready for the road that lies ahead.  Good things are coming.  ANNA SCHMID!  Thank you for hosting our incredible event right here in our home town!  You are an incredible woman and I simply admire your strength, your passion for success and your dedication to your girls, Ava and Stella.  Paul too!!  Hopefully, we’ll all be together again next month!!  I love you.

To my Dad.  To my husband.  What in the world would I do without you?  Without fail, you are there for me.  For our twinkies.  And despite my constant absence lately, it comforts my heart to know they are in the arms of Heaven with you and crazy loved!  Otherwise, I could not function (at least not sanely!).  I love you immensely…both of you.

To our Charlotte professionals.  WOW!  Now where do I REALLY begin?  Let’s first start by talking about how LUCKY we are to have this international stage in which to showcase the Queen City’s finest.  I am SO SORRY that I rambled and cried (of course) last night and didn’t individually thank you.  So…I am doing it RIGHT NOW!

BEST IMPRESSIONS CATERING – are you kidding me.  As always, it was scrumptious!  Justin King + Team, y’all are absolute ROCKSTARS!  NY BRIDE AND GROOM – you came!  You NEVER come to events.  I am honored.  I am thankful.  For you and what you provide to our community of brides and company.  Thank you for the beautiful display of fashion.  It tied in beautifully with what the girls designed.  PARTY TABLES – simply divine.  Your quality of work and product never ceases to amaze me.  And your generosity and love for our company and brides is beyond appreciated!  Thank you so much, Shay!  CLASSIC PARTY – always there.  ALWAYS!  Lisa, your spirit and passion for what you do and how much you love life is beautiful.  We love you to pieces!  SPLIT SECOND SOUND – Neil!!!  Thank you…always and for everything.  You may be a tough and big ole body builder, but to us you are our great big teddy bear!  We love you.  JILL DELMASTRO – my fellow momma bear!  Your talents and ability to take flour and water and turn it into works of art are craziness.  Absolute craziness.  You have been gifted with an amazing talent – never, ever forget that!  We adore and treasure you more than you realize!  LINGKY SUGG – wow!!  WOW!  WOWOWOWOW!!  Thank you for your time, energy, love, support and fantastic generosity…always.  The orchids and bouquet were the perfect touch to Organic Romance.  We are so grateful for you!

And to the rest of our friends and fantastic vendors…your support now and through the years will never, ever go unnoticed.  We cannot thank you enough!

Ahhhhhhh…

And now we breathe.  Well, until we head to NYC next month for launch #2!
