Carolina Bride Feature | Holly + Mark Ballantyne Hotel Wedding

“These are the moments…”

Precious love.  Sweet precious love.  Holly and Mark define ‘head-over-heels-in-love”…you know…that kind of love where you can’t take your eyes off of the other.  I do not think I can recall one moment (during engagements or wedding) where I didn’t catch them fully engaged with one another.

And…

Their parents are the same way.

“Apples don’t fall far…”

An unforgettable affair (yep…big ole baby tears happened during this one!), that I will forever hold close to my heart.

Thank you, Holly, Mark (and Mom and Dad) for picking me.  I am truly the blessed one!

From Barbara (Mother of the Bride):

“You were truly able to capture the “magic” of the wedding day.  Your passion for your craft sets you apart as a true artist.  You were able to capture the special moments that made Holly and Mark’s wedding day unique to them.  As parents, it was wonderful to see the special love that Holly and Mark share captured in beautiful images that will be in our hearts and minds forever.  The love and good wishes for this couple from family and friends was evident to everyone on that day and was lovingly preserved in your beautiful portraits.

What more can I say about the gorgeous bridal portraits?  The images speak for themselves.  You  caught the little girl who turned into a beautiful, loving, woman who is ready to start a new chapter in her life with the man she loves….simply fabulous artistry!!!

Kristin, we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience in working with you and KVP from our first meeting all the way through the wedding day!

We wish you many, many, wonderful experiences in your journey with your own family and continued, well-deserved success in your professional ventures.  May God bless and keep you all!” ~ Fondly xoxo, Barbara

From Holly (Bride):

“Love isn’t something I ever believed could be captured in an instant, in a single moment, or in a single frame.  I never thought my deep feelings for my husband were truly visible to anyone but he and I…but from the bottom of my heart, I mean it when I say that to look at Kristin and the KVP team’s work is to look at the past, present, and future of the couple and to appreciate the subtle ways they show their love and respect to each other.

When I look through our photos, I see Mark re-pinning my veil as it fell off down the long Saint Matthew’s aisle in front of God and our loved ones.  The feeling… instant panic and a plea to “toss it over there”, followed by perfect comfort and ease as he re-fastened the lace.  This takes me back 5 years to our very first “library date” at North Carolina State University.  It was late, and as much as I dreaded the MA114 problem set in front of me, Mark presenting coffee and a smile made me feel like a princess in sweats.  Flashing forward 50 years, I imagine a stubborn old woman refusing to take medication and an equally stubborn man who knows what she needs is cough syrup and tea.  A single memory captured, reminds me of where we came from, where we are and where we are going.  The constant is love, the rest is always evolving.

As I look through our photos, I don’t just see snapshots of our guests… I see their personalities.  Our friends and family at their best, their most happy.  These are true reflections of who they are as people and it is incredible to see that come through another’s eyes, (and their lenses!)

For me, and for so many brides the look on their husbands face as you walk down the aisle is something you never forget.  You hope that you take their breath away and that they forever remember you as their “bride.”

You hope that before your dad walks you down the aisle, he tells you “you look so beautiful, and so grown up” through wide eyes and a great smile that takes YOUR breath away.

You hope that your mom, who has done everything up to that moment to insure your day is exactly what you pictured, feels as beautiful and as special as you do…and feels herself like the bride she was 32 years ago.

I have never felt more radiant than I felt on September 29, 2012.

Mark and I will forever be reminded of how much we loved each other on that perfect day, and how deeply fortunate we are to have the family and friends that we do.  We cannot thank this group of “dream-catchers” enough :)!  And we can’t to see what they capture in the future.” ~ Holly
