Entirely grateful…

I am so grateful!

Grateful to God – PRAISE YOU!

Grateful to YOU for taking interest in my passion – THANK YOU!

And grateful to Shae and Brian – ENTIRELY!

I woke up this morning to an email that has stopped me dead in my tracks.  I am humbled.  SO humbled.  And I felt the need to share this with others (not b/c I’m tooting any horns), but because the engagement session is my heart!!  Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE WEDDING DAY!!  But the esession – well, it’s just me and the client.  One-on-one time.  Getting to know each other time.  Controlled time.  Our time!   I think it is important that others know how passionate I am about getting to know my bride and groom’s prior to wedding day.  I think it is vital to take our relationship to that next level so that come wedding day I’m not “Oh, it’s my photographer” but more like, “Hey…it’s Kristin!”.  I want us to fall in love with each other.  So corny, I know – but SO TRUE!!

To Shae and Brian…I love you more than you know.  Truly, the THANKS goes to YOU though…for allowing ME to be the person to capture this incredible milestone in your lives.  I adore you, cherish you and are incredibly humbled by you!!

Good Day Kristin,

Today I am writing to you about our most fabulous weekend in NYC with you, accompanied by Lindsey Reagan Thorne!

First and foremost I would like to thank you for considering us for this weekend, and what a weekend it was!!!  It did come as a complete surprise to both Shae and I…..

After having a little bit of time to process things and look at the PHENOMENAL photos that you created, I have decided to give you a little…well a lot of feedback!

For starters, going shopping with the both of you was such an AWESOME experience.  To actually see what you were envisioning, while you were seeing it was great.  The enthusiasm that the both of you, Lindsey and yourself, have while you are shopping and spending other peoples money, LOL, is priceless!  Having never met Lindsey before that day and only meeting you once before (while driving a U-Haul of all things) I could tell immediately that this was going to be a BLAST!!!  Once the chaos of running from store to store had subsided, and  reality hit (WOW we are leaving for NYC in 4 days for a professional photo shoot!!!) Shae and I were getting very excited…to the point of sleepless nights! Then once Friday came and we were heading to the airport we couldn’t believe that of all of your clients you had chosen us for this once in a lifetime opportunity, being photographed by such a professional is one thing but to have it all happen in NYC; Coney Island and The Night Hotel, now that is something that happens to famous people….

Upon arrival to the hotel and seeing the style, GOTH, which totally fits Shae and my personalities perfectly, we knew that this was going to be a weekend that we would NEVER forget….    Not to mention the foreshadowing of our wedding day to come in the very near future.

Saturday morning at 4 AM our very busy, yet EXTREMELY exiting day began.  I can remember my energy level when we got to your room, It was if I had drank 5 cups of coffee….  We had woken up when most people in NYC were just starting to think about going to sleep!  It was still dark out and we were getting ready to hit Coney Island something fierce….  The commentary from you and Lindsey was enthusiastic and very encouraging, you put both Shae and I at ease, it felt as though we had done all of this before, as if it were natural for us to be standing out on the jetty in 40 degree weather, in shorts and skirts, as if it were just another day at the office!

Once the fun of Coney Island had come to an end we headed back to the hotel for the most exiting aspect of the shoot, that is my opinion anyways! Seeing Shae get all dolled up was definitely a highlight, to see the eye and skills that Lindsey has with style is dumbfounding, with her eye and your flair you make a team that is desired, and highly sought after!

The Night Hotel gave us an edge and definitely kept things interesting, it was right in our comfort zone and I think the pictures speak volumes!

At one point Lindsey made a comment that we were fun to shoot and we made it easy, but I in fact think that it was Shae and I, as well as you and Lindsey…  Yes we are easy going and fun loving but if the both of you weren’t ROCKSTARS then the outcome could have been different! Having all parties with the same overall mindset of fun and excitement brings out the best in everyone, and the pictures show it all!

If my words haven’t said it enough, we are THOROUGHLY looking forward to working with you on our Wedding Day!!!
You do FABULOUS work, and your creativity is OUTSTANDING!

Keep up the good work,
Talk soon – Brian and Shae
