Hi Friends!
Many of you who know me, know my passion for the Potvin Family. Simply put, little Ellie Potvin was an earth angel for 8 short years before gaining her heavenly wings on June 23, 2010. She touched lives across the world – mine included.
I had the pleasure and honor of photographing her last earthly birthday…a moment in time that will live in my heart. And as well, helping to organize the Perfectly Pink Tea party (while on hold this year due to Baby Potvin making her grand entrance into our world) at the Ballantyne Hotel last year.
Her legacy continues through the Lift Up Foundation. And in less than one month, there will be another fantastic event in which to celebrate her life on our planet and her desire to help other cancer stricken children across the world…all through her ART…it’s the big UNVEIL!!
So mark your calendars for December 1st at 6:30pm. Aloft Hotel (EpiCenter).
Hope to see you there!!

A note from Amy Potvin (Ellie’s mommy):
Dear Friends,
I am excited to tell you about a wonderful partnership the “Lift Up” Foundation Inc. (www.liftupfoundation.org) has created with the ALOFT CHARLOTTE UPTOWN AT THE EPICENTRE (www.aloftcharlotteuptown.com)
The Aloft Hotel has dedicated a lobby wall to support the “Lift Up” Foundation Inc. in helping families in the fight against childhood cancer. It has a beautiful photo of Ellie looking down on you with 5 of Ellie’s beautiful paintings enlarged on canvas with our “Lift Up” Foundation logo as a banner along the top. Underneath the paintings is information on our Ellie’s inspirational battle against childhood cancer and the “Lift Up” foundation created in her memory. We are so blessed in that not only does the wall highlight Ellie’s love for painting, but promotes her artwork sales where 100% proceeds go to support families fighting childhood cancer.
As many of you know, it was Ellie’s dream to become a professional artist and she continues to share her beautiful art pieces from Heaven and her fight against cancer! As a family we are still “In it to Win it!” (www.liftupfoundation.org/ellietheartist)
I hope you will join our family on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6:30pm to celebrate the official unveiling of Ellie’s artwork. We will have a live Christmas DJ, delicious appetizers and wine tasting for all to enjoy. Please just come and stay as long as you desire. Also, Ellie’s artwork will be available for purchase this evening. Great Holiday gifts for all that you love
This beautiful Hotel is located at Charlotte’s EpiCentre in the vibrant Uptown District and has a very “Cool and Hip” ambiance. The front lobby (more like a lounge with bar) is a great place to relax and hang out, meet people or mix and mingle over cocktails. I hope to see you that evening to celebrate and honor our daughter, Ellie the Artist, and the “Lift Up” Foundation! Plus, you can get a sneak peak at my big belly now pregnant at 36 weeks!
We are looking for all sorts of wonderful silent auction items to be offered at this evenings events and media coverage! Should you be able to help us support this cause please contact Jennifer Mortland, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Aloft Hotel, at 704 333 1999 or jennifer.mortland@Aloftcharlotteuptown.com.
Please look for official invitation and more updates on this event at my facebook (amy potvin) and www.caringbridge.org/visit/elliepotvin
