Facebook Frenzy Shoot | New Orleans

Bloggers meet Andi Eaton…

New Orleans Shoot

Better late than never, right?!?!  Finally, I made it to New Orleans to photograph last year’s Facebook Frenzy contest winner!!  If you’re just chiming in and don’t recount the contest that was held a year ago, please allow me to explain.  All I wanted for Christmas in 2008 was friends…Facebook Friends that is!!  I was new to the fb world and thought that it would be a fantastic tool in which to share my art with others.  The deal was – for every 10 friends you referred your name would go into a drawing.  The more you referred, the greater your chances of winning.  You see, it was a RANDOM DRAWING!  Yep – I just RANDOMLY drew a name.  If your name was drawn – I would fly (AT MY EXPENSE) anywhere in the country and photograph YOU!  It didn’t matter if it was a wedding, a portrait session or just-because session – I wanted everyone eligible!  Well, little did I know that it would be quite a successful contest!!  I made just under 1000 new friends.  And although it took me a year to get out and photograph the fashionable, Andi Eaton, I think it was well worth the wait!!

We had an amazing time tearing up the streets of New Orleans.  A special thank you to Tommy for rocking out that BIG HAIR!!

Hmmm…maybe I should hold this contest again??

And I couldn’t resist sharing this image.  This little old lady made me smile!  Made me laugh!  Made my heart sing!   In that split second that I met her, she made me feel so thankful and blessed that I get to do what I love – meet and photograph people all over this beautiful world!
