Bloggers meet Ashley + Ryan…

A soldier’s love…

Nope…he isn’t a soldier.  He is actually a professional golfer (Ryan Blaum).  However, Ashley’s soon-to-be husband (of which he’ll be this weekend!) was 100% into getting creative and producing delicious art!  Ahhhh…I LOVE it when the groom is as involved as the bride.  Makes for complete yummy pictures!!!  For quite some time, I have wanted to photograph a vintage train station look.  A soldier headed off to war.  Ashley and Ryan pulled it off beautifully yesterday!!  They enjoyed getting into character…which was AMAZINGLY FUN for us!!!  Not to mention that it was clearly obvious they are head-over-heels in love with one another!!

A special thanks to Mark at the NC Transportation Museum, Morris Costumes and of course, a little Lindsey Regan Thorne for the wardrobe/hair/makeup!

What an awesome way to celebrate a grandmother’s love.  We incorporated her broach!!

I am IN UTTER LOVE with this series!!  The sentimental value is priceless.  Ryan proposed to Ashley in a park, in which after they broke bread, sipped wine and read Scripture.  Oh my heart!!  I get chills!!!  And even in this moment below, Ryan read from the bible to us while I photographed around them.  Mmmmmmm…there are no words!

Christian.  Louis.  Jimmy.  Oh and let’s not forget… Chanel.  Prada.  Breitling.

Oh my heart be still.  While Avanti (+ Lindsey Regan Thorne) were in wardrobe, I was salivating at all of the delicious eye-candy just casually laying around the studio.  While I am a BIG FAN of designer’s and labels, I (unfortunately) am not afforded the opportunity to indulge as much as I would like – so I live vicariously through my AMAZING clients!!!  Like a kid in a candy store, I ever so kindly ask…”What size shoe do you wear? Oh an 8…I HAVE TO TRY THESE ON!!”  Or, “Where did you get this?  Recently?  I wonder if they have my size??”  Nine times out of ten, I never make it to the store…but I dream. :)

Avanti + Roderick are set to  marry this weekend, and I cannot WAIT to see what Tiffany Ratliff with Weddings and the City has in store.  And while I am not their wedding day photographer, I know Bella Loren is going to knock it out of the park!!  And…I also hear there is a little treat in store from Critsey Rowe!

On another VERY SPECIAL note, my dearest Lindsey Wallace Van Wingerden (one of Weddings and the City‘s newest principal planners)…THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!!!  Without you, this shoot would NOT have been possible.
