This morning my husband picked me a flower.  An azalea from our quaint and deliciously-in-bloom back yard.  As we countdown this final week in our home (which is slowly turning into a house), I am finding myself becoming more and more emotional.

So here is the first of seven things that I will miss most about our uptown home.

Azaleas in the spring.

Shortly after moving in, my husband took on the project of converting approximately 200 square feet into a tranquil space for us.  Watching what he has planted grow over the years has been magnificent.  I am so thankful for him, and love his passion for the earth and our yard.

Seven days and nights to go…

“Spring is in bloom!”

As I sit here with a delicious cup of coffee in hand (mmmm…Almond Joy creamer is crazy good!) listening to a little inspirational music, I couldn’t help but get lost in this image recently taken.  It reminds me of yesterday’s message, “Know, Grow and Go!”  Just as a  flower starts as a seed then transforms into beauty with the care of water and sunlight, so do we in Christ.  Then this basket of beauty got me thinking – what flower, whether planted or cut do we not “Go” and share…in a garden, in a planter, in a vase or in a basket?  It brings us happiness.  Joy.  Smiles.  Comfort.  Peace.  Okay – for some (like many of this time of year) it brings us a few sneezes and sniffles, but all-in-all it brings us love.  All of which we “Go” and share.  It is such a simple, yet profoundly impactful gesture.

So shouldn’t we be doing the same with our Creator?!
