Meet Wendy + Brad…
“Spring is in the air…”
The morning started like most. Early morning kisses from my twinkies followed by coffee, breakfast and lots of cuddling before heading out to shoot. I arrived at Wendy and Brad’s beautiful Wesley Heights home (how convenient…I live in Wesley Heights too!) to find this gorgeous couple getting all glam’d up by the fabulous Lindsey Regan Thorne. The pink morning sun was quickly rising, and after scouting a couple of different location I found the perfect spot to start putting together our lovely props.
Vintage bluebird plates, colorful coffee mugs, scallop-edged cake platters stacked with blueberry covered waffles along with perfectly picked brown speckled eggs which were placed in an oh-so-perfect vintage blue egg crate that sat on top of a delicate glass table top. It was absolutely delicious. So much that I caught a glimpse of little LRT munchin’ away!
Tablescape was set. We were ready to roll.
Just before heading in to grab Wendy and Brad, we both bent down to unpack just a few more eggs when…
BAM! CRASH! CRACK!
The entire tablescape came tumbling down.
I gasped.
That did not just happen.
I starred in disbelief…oh gosh!!!
After many deep breaths and quick recovery thoughts, we headed in together to break the news. ARG!!!
Thankfully, Wendy and Brad are a ‘laid back, no sweat, these things happen‘ type couple. THANK THE LORD!!
We scurried to rebound…game on! We were still going with it. We were able to salvage most of it – hey, a little egg yolk on cooked waffles is okay, right?!?
And there ya have it. Even though our yesterday morning started a little rough, we still managed to make the best of it and ended up loving it even more!
Thanks, Wendy and Brad for sharing this time with us – AND for being So Cool!!!
