Nicole + Sean | Charlotte City Club Wedding

“Pretty in Pink…”

Her blood runneth’ pink…all hues of pink.  She is full of life, energy and love.  She exuded true bridal beauty and soaked up every minute of HER day.

He is the consummate gentleman.  He adores her every breath and ensures that her needs and wants are met as she is his best friend.

In turn, he is hers.

They are Nicole and Sean or rather, Mr. and Mrs. Phaler!

I fell in love with them the day I met them.  Her fierce love for fashion and all things pretty is to be respected and cherished.  She is not afraid to express herself; major qualities that I hold in high regard.

Their weekend started off with the arrival of their closest friends and family.  Friday night rehearsal…CHICKEN COOP.  YUM!!  Gotta love that!

The Charlotte City Club shined once again.  Nathan Hoffman (Director of Private Events) and his team did an amazing job hosting this beautiful couple, and went the extra distance to support a fabulous team of vendors.  I couldn’t be happier being in all of their company that glorious day.

Please enjoy a snippet of their day.  And in case you missed their engagement session…it was pink too!

Jen + Win | Outer Banks, North Carolina Wedding

“Sea of Love…”

They couldn’t keep their love hidden.  Jen and Win are in this for the long haul…the forever haul.  And to be one of the photographers capturing this insatiable love was undeniably rewarding.  The day started off at the lovely Roanoke Inn.  As the bridal party sipped champagne, they enjoyed the talented hands of Lindsey Regan Thorne transforming them into bridal beauty.  Next, it was off to the miniature lighthouse directly across the street from the Inn.  Their first look left us all in overwhelming love.  After a romantic session on the pier, we were off to Elizabethan Gardens to get married.  It was magical.  The plush grounds didn’t disappoint.  And as Jen and her Dad rounded the corner to walk the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye to be found.  Deep breath…

I was elated that Jen and Win set so much time aside to dive into “just them”.  And we were invited to be part…documenting it all (including a brief stop on the beach).

The evening ended with a beautiful dinner at Kelly’s Restaurant…surrounded by their closest family and friends.  They never lost sight of one another.  It was all about their love.  Their day.  Their magic.  It was the perfect day.

A special thanks to all the wonderful professionals involved:

The journey…

“Motherhood…”

Life is nothing short of a miracle.  And motherhood is one of the greatest gifts of all.  From the moment of conception, a woman instantly morphs into a protective palace.  A place that know man will ever know.  It is rather indescribable.

I had the pleasure of photographing a very special friend this week.  Her journey to motherhood has been one of patience.  Like many women these days, assistance was needed in which to conceive a child of her own.  But it is always in His hands.  And today, she is quickly approaching her due date.  A precious baby girl will soon take her first earthly breath.  Her name.  Nicolette.

So as we head into a beautiful holiday weekend – I hope and pray that each of your days are filled with, “Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice!”

A special thanks to Lindsey Regan Thorne for the beautiful hair and makeup.
