Dina + Carter | Winghaven Gardens Family Session

“A mother’s love…”

She is full of patience.  Full of love.  She multi-tasks on a daily basis – balancing her home, her business and her time.  She delicately and sincerely approaches each project with the utmost detail – knowing that her hands, thoughts and works play a very important role in the lives of others.  In the lives of those embarking on a milestone.  In the lives of brides, grooms and their family + guests.

She is Dina Berg Blazek.  An amazing wedding planner and designer based right here in our own backyard.  We are so very grateful for her presence and her talent.

I had the privilege of spending time with her last week (and her crazy cute little boy, Carter) out at Winghaven Gardens.  Lindsey Regan Thorne partnered up with us – bringing beautiful hair + makeup to the table, as well as walking Dina through a little eStyling!  Our inspiration?  F.u.n. with a bit of whimsy and tons of color.  We played in the garden, picked flowers and even got a little dirty.  Mainly though, it was time spent cuddling, loving and watching Carter have a blast with precious props and chickens!!

For us over here at KVP, we get tickled pink when Dina feels her clients will team up nicely with us.  It means tons of eye candy for us to photograph come wedding day – not to mention a streamline and stress-free day.  She really knows how to handle and implement her events.  Pure perfection!

If you are looking for a planner, please take a moment to check out her website.  And we certainly can’t forget Marisa + Neal’s AND Nicole + Robert’s wedding.  Two crazy gorgeous weddings.

Thank you, Dina for believing in us and allowing us to spend this personal time together.  Allison, Lindsey and I had an absolute ball!

Christine + John | Style Me Pretty Feature

“Butterfly Kisses…”

First – I totally stole this graphic from LRT‘s website.  She and I are so much on the same page (i.e. – she beat me to the punch this morning regarding the SMP Feature) that I took the liberty upon myself to ‘easy up my job!’  haha!!  THANKS LITTLE LADY for this fun eye candy graphic. :)

Next – Christine + John.  Good grief…what can I say?  The couple.  The story.  The beauty.  The symbolic piece.  She and her family have definitely touched my heart – not to mention my gut!!  SHE IS HILARIOUS!  I mean, intoxicating funny.  My abs hurt when we’re together I laugh that much!!

They married last month (those images coming soon) and their esession took place last year at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill.

So without further ado…I hope you take a moment to visit their gorgeous Style Me Pretty Feature that posted yesterday.

Thank you, SMP.  You continue to inspire millions and we love you!

Jamie and Drew | Urban Garden Wedding Charlotte

“A chic, uptown affair…”

I am still mesmerized that this beautiful day has come and gone.  After months of planning and getting to know this incredibly gracious and grateful couple, we are here.  Blogging the wedding.  The cake was delicious (The Ritz!).  The band was rocking (WOW…Simply Irresistible!).  The decor was off-the-carts (Lindsey with Weddings and the City CRUSHED this one) followed by Tiffany implementing it all!  The dress was breathtaking (Monique Lhuillier).  The beauty was perfect (Jami Svay + Lindsey Regan Thorne be pretty).  The flowers and beautiful linens were magical (Place for Flowers and Party Tables).

Our journey together has left me speechless.  Summertime + Skittles engagement sessions and flowing tears at her Original Look Book presentation with Lindsey of WATC will always be close to my heart.  Madly, madly in love with this sweet family.  “Yep…that is YOU Jamie!”  Miss you so.

Thank you, Steve + Allison.  Loved spending the day with you both capturing beautiful memories.  And thank you, Urban Garden.  It is always a pleasure!!

Oh – and I HAVE to share these words with you regarding her First Look.  It was definitely a “MOVER!”  If you’re a bride on the fence about doing a First Look – this might help you make your decision.

Kristin:  “Would you mind telling me your thoughts now that the wedding has taken place regarding your First Look decision?”

Jamie:  “I was very unsure about the first look when I first heard about it.  Even after you elaborated on the positives of doing a first look (special intimate moment between you and your soon to be hubby without all of your guests around, more time at cocktail hour and reception with your guests), I still was not sure if I wanted to do it.  Eventually the pro of being able to utilize all of cocktail hour and reception with our guests won me over.  It took me a little while to convince Drew to do it, but he was also enticed by the idea of having more time with our guests.  As we got closer to the day, I got more and more excited that I decided to do a first look, and couldn’t wait to have a moment between the two of us, soaking each other in before the craziness of the day ensued.  I am very happy that we decided to do the first look.  It allowed us to have to savor the intimate moment of seeing each other on our wedding day, and it allowed us to spend a lot more time with our guests which was very important to us.  We were also able to soak in the day slower than we would have if we had tried to cram in all of our pictures in between the ceremony and reception.  The day did not feel like a blur, as many bride had described their days to me prior to my wedding.  I am so grateful for that.

Drew - This couple is just totally gorgeous! I never thought about how intimate and special a first look could be! The expressions on their faces are totally selling this idea to me!
The entire wedding looked stunning! Love the location and cake setting displays!April 9, 2012 – 5:20 pm

Lindsey Regan Thorne - WOW! WOW! WOW! The first image by far my favorite “romantics” to date! I feel like I’m wrapped in their little arms being cuddled ~ IT’S SO CUTE! I think that sounded wrong… 😉 So sweet + so much love and way to capture it KVP team! Lots of love!April 9, 2012 – 10:31 pm
