“Rustic-glam romance…”

As we continue on sharing so much loveliness from the fall of 2013, I would be remiss if I didn’t say this couple and family is the absolute salt-of-the-earth.

Meet Whitney and Travis.

Married in a beautifully restored cotton mill, Whitney’s momma did a spectacular job of ensuring that her baby girl’s big day was nothing short of breathtaking.

Hope you enjoy this little snippet into their day.  Oh – and in case you missed their fun engagements here they are once more.

Words from the Mother-of-the-bride…

“This past weekend I shared our storybook and proof book with friends.  Both lingered over each page, slowly taking in every little detail.  Through their eyes I appreciated once again that we had a beautiful shot of every big moment, formal shots that were gracefully posed, and close ups of  details.  Great candids were icing on the cake!  You captured the story and the feeling of the evening.  However, I wish there could be a picture of the “KVP experience.”   We appreciated not only the end product, but the process.  I have such fond memories of working with you!  Not just your professionalism, but your enthusiasm, patience and kindness.  Those feelings make the pictures even prettier!” ~ Diana

The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte | Sara + Jon

Intimacy in the Queen City…

I believe my love for the blogging world may just have been resurrected as I have discovered, BlogStomp (okay, don’t laugh all you who already know about it…I am almost 40!).

The behind-the-scenes world of a still photographer is a meticulous, tedious and detail-oriented world.  Wedding and portrait days are the fun days!  The other 80% of the time (the “not-as-fun-days”) is spent on post-production which entails culling through photographs, completing the story, uploading, downloading, book designing, book proofing, ordering, shipping, etc (all of which we do for our clients the week after their wedding…yes, that is correct.  Almost all of our clients receive their wedding the WEEK of their wedding – and this past season they have all also received their first storybook proof).  And lets not forget the actual business stuff which does consist of…marketing “aka: blogging”.

Admittedly I have done a poor job of this lately.

Why?

Well, to be perfectly honest it just became too much on top of everything else that I attempt to balance.

BUT…

Hopefully now that I have discovered this handy little software, I’ll be able to share these lovely pieces quicker.

Meet Sara and Jon.

What a pair and what a woman!  Since this gorgeous November affair, we have reconnected through Burn Bootcamp and are developing quite a little friendship.  Married life is treating her remarkably great…complete with a newly constructed home in preparation for family expansion!

I hope you enjoy this little snippet into their day.  A special thanks to, my Wingman, Steve, The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, Lily Greenthumb’s Florist, Lindsey Regan Thorne and Paper Tangent.

Sara’s words…
“Kristin Vining Photography’s ability to capture genuine moments is unbelievable. From the grand entrance to the small details, KVP truly captured the feel of our event. The photographs are both ethereal and candid, and in a lovely variety of styles. We’re able to look at the photos and remember what it was like to be in that moment when we promised to spend the rest of our lives together.
From day one, we felt like we were in the best hands with Kristin and her team.  The talent, style and passion is unmatched.” ~ Sara
